Printing bid sheets and recording winners

Guests bid on paper bid sheets. Print one per item, then use Record winner after the auction closes.

Online bidding and text-to-bid are not turned on yet. Your silent auction runs on paper: guests write bids on a sheet next to each item, and you record each winner in Redswing.

Print the bid sheets

  1. Open Dashboard → Events → [Event] → Auction.
  2. Add your items with a name, photo, value and starting bid.
  3. Click Print bid sheets. You get one sheet per item, with the item name, starting bid and lines for bids.

Record each winner

  1. Announce the close time and collect the sheets at that moment.
  2. On the Auction page, click Record winner on each item.
  3. Enter the winner's name and the winning amount from the sheet, then save.
  4. When the winner pays you, mark the item paid.

Things to know

  • Redswing takes 0% of auction money.
  • Winners may deduct only what they paid above the item's fair market value. See Auction receipts and fair market value.
  • Keep the paper sheets until your books are closed.
