Where your money goes

Card payments are paid directly to your organization. Redswing never holds your funds.

Card payments for your event are paid directly to your organization's own payment account. Redswing never holds or routes your funds.

Card payments are not open yet. Until they open, record checks and cash. See Connecting a payment account.

Overview

Redswing is a technology platform, not a payment processor and not a middleman for your money. You connect your organization's own payment account. Payments from players, sponsors, and donors are processed into that account, and your payment provider pays out to your bank on its own schedule.

Where each dollar goes

  1. A player registers, a sponsor buys a package, someone donates, or an auction winner pays.
  2. The card payment is processed into your organization's connected payment account.
  3. On golfer payments, Redswing's $5 booking fee is taken out automatically. Sponsorships, auction, add-ons and donations have no Redswing fee. See What does Redswing cost?.
  4. The rest settles to your organization's balance with the processor.
  5. The processor pays your balance out to your bank on its normal schedule.

When you get paid

Timing is set by your payment provider, not by Redswing. See When do I get paid?. Open Payouts and click Open your payment account to see balances and payout history. Your payment provider pays your bank on its own schedule. Redswing does not control the timing.

Things to know

  • There is no Redswing account that your money sits in.
  • Cash and checks you collect yourself never touch Redswing. You can record them so your totals stay accurate.
  • At checkout, payers see an optional box, unticked, to add the card fees. See The cover the fee option.
  • If a payout is delayed or your account shows a restriction, the processor is usually asking for verification. Handle that with the processor and see Payout delays.
