Use Communications to text your players. Only players who opted in to texts receive them.
Texting starts once Redswing's text number is approved. Texts go only to golfers who agreed to them.
Overview
Open Dashboard → Events → [Event] → Communications. Texts go only to registered players who ticked the text-consent box at registration. A player who did not opt in gets nothing. For them, announce in person, on the leaderboard TV, or by email.
How to send
- Pick Recipients: All registered players, Not checked in yet, Haven't finished scoring, Specific flight, or Custom phone numbers. Custom numbers still only reach players who opted in.
- Pick a template (Scoring link, Auction open, Leaderboard, or Score reminder) or write your own. Short messages are best. The composer shows the character and segment count.
- Click Send test to send one to yourself first.
- Click Send message.

- Texts are included at no charge. See What does Redswing cost?.
- If a player replied STOP, treat it as a stop. See Texting STOP and HELP.
- To tell everyone who paid, use Emails and click Send to all registrants.
- Volunteers are not texted by Redswing. See Volunteers.
