A wrong score is easy to fix while the group is still scoring. After the card is finished, a person at Redswing makes the change.
Overview
Each hole has one score per group (scramble) or one score per player (other formats). Saving a hole again replaces the old value. There is no score lock. The Settings page has score-edit options, but they do not lock or unlock scoring today.
While the group is still scoring
- Open the group's scoring link. The card opens on the first hole still open, in the group's order of play.
- Open Hole list and tap the hole to fix. Or tap Back to hole [number].
- Change the number with plus or minus, then tap Next hole.
- Use Hole list to go back to the hole where the group was.
After the card is submitted
When every hole is saved, the link shows "Round complete" and cannot be reopened.
- Get the correct score and who agreed to it (for example the team captain and another player).
- Open Ask AI, the red button in your dashboard. Give the team, the hole, the old score, the new score, and who approved it.
- A person at Redswing makes the change. There is no organizer screen to edit a score yet.
After awards were given
Redswing can correct the leaderboard, but whether to change a result already announced is your committee's decision. Do not guess. See Ties and disputes.
Obvious typos
A number that looks wrong, such as 11 on a par 3, could be 1, 2, or 3. Ask the team before you change anything. Never guess a score.
Two phones on one team
Scores for the same hole from two phones replace each other. The newest score wins. A late score from a phone that was out of signal does not replace a newer one; that phone shows a note that a newer score was kept. Pick one scorer per team. In a scramble, any teammate's link writes the same team score.
Why a team shows a very high total
In stroke play and stableford, the total adds every player's score. A team of four shows about four times a single score. In scramble and best ball, one score counts per hole. Check which format your event uses.
If every team shows 0
Check that scores were entered and the leaderboard page is current. If it still looks wrong, use Ask AI right away. A person at Redswing fixes it. See Event-day emergencies.
Things to know
- Entering the same hole twice never creates a duplicate row.
- The leaderboard ranks by total strokes. Compare teams only at the same Thru number.
