Each scoring link belongs to one player and opens that player's group. These are the messages players see and what to do.
Overview
The link carries a private code. Redswing uses the code to find the player, their event, and their group. It does not matter which page address the link starts with.
What each message means
- This page needs your personal scoring link. The link was cut off. Copy the whole link again from the Scoring page.
- This scoring link isn't working. The code is not recognized. Usually part of the link was lost, or it is from a different event. Copy a fresh link from the Scoring page.
- We couldn't find this event. The link is for an event that is not live. Send the link again from the right event's Scoring page.
- You haven't been put in a group yet. Pairings are not generated, or the player is not in a group. Generate pairings and check the Pairings page.
- We couldn't find your group. Check the player's group on the Pairings page, then try the link again.
- Scoring has closed. The event was marked complete. Contact Redswing support through Ask AI if that is wrong.
- Round complete. All holes are saved. See Fixing a wrong score.
The link opens the wrong team
- Open Dashboard → Events → [Event] → Scoring and find the player's group.
- Check who is in that group on the Pairings page. The link follows the player's current group, so if pairings changed after links were sent, the link shows the new group.
- If the player was moved by mistake, ask support through Ask AI to correct the group. Avoid regenerating pairings on event day.
The link shows the wrong date or event
The event name and date come from the player's own registration. If a person is in two events, they have two links. Check which event the person registered for, and send the link from that event's Scoring page.
Resend or share the link
- Open the Scoring page and click Text scoring links. Only players who opted in to texts receive them.
- For others, open Scoring links on the group card and copy a link, or show the group QR code. See Scoring links aren't going out.
