Shotgun, wave, or tee-time start?

How groups get onto the course — and which to choose.

This is just how groups begin play:

  • Shotgun (most common): Every group starts at the same time on a different hole. Best for getting everyone on and off the course together, then to lunch/awards.
  • Wave / tee-time: Groups tee off one after another from hole 1 at set intervals (e.g., every 9–10 minutes). Used when you can't get the whole course at once.

Pick shotgun unless your course told you otherwise. Redswing assigns starting holes (shotgun) or tee times (wave) automatically when you generate pairings.
