There is no undo for pairings. The Generate pairings button deletes all groups and flights and builds new ones.
Overview
Anything you changed by hand is lost when you generate again: group order, flight moves, starting holes, and course moves. Scores are stored against groups. Generating pairings after scoring has started deletes the groups, and the scores entered for them go with them. Redswing does not ask you to confirm first.
Before event day
- Generate pairings once, after registration closes.
- Make your hand edits on the Pairings page.
- Print the Tee sheet from the Print menu as soon as you are happy. The printed copy is your backup.
- Do not click Generate pairings again unless you accept losing every hand edit.
If you already regenerated and lost edits
- Look at your printed tee sheet or a saved PDF. Re-apply the changes by hand: reorder groups, flight dropdown, starting hole dropdown.
- If a group's hole is wrong after generating, use the starting hole dropdown on its card.
If you regenerated after scoring started
- Stop. Do not generate again.
- Open Ask AI and tell it right away. On event day it hands the issue to Redswing support. Say which event and when you generated.
- Use paper scorecards for the rest of the day. See When phones or signal fail.
- Scoring links belong to players. New groups reuse the same player links, but scores that were saved before may be gone.
Things to know
- You can drag the handle on a group card to reorder groups. This does not move players between groups. To move one golfer, use Move player. See Moving a player to another group.
