After you pick a package and fill in your details, you pay on the same page. Card payments go through Square, straight to the organizer's account.
Draft for legal review: This article describes how Redswing works in plain language. It is not tax or legal advice and an attorney has not reviewed it yet. Ask your own tax advisor or attorney about your situation.
Steps
- On the sponsor form, check the package name and price at the top.
- Optional: tick the box to add the card fees so the organizer isn't charged them. It starts unticked. See The "add the card fees" box.
- Tap Continue to payment. (It stays grey until you've typed a company name and email.)
- On Payment, read any tax notice shown. It's written from the organizer's own values.
- Type your card details and tap the Pay $... button.
Card details go straight to the payment provider. Redswing never sees or stores your card number.
What happens next
- You see Thank you and Your sponsorship is confirmed.
- If your package includes golfer spots, you also get "Your receipt from Redswing for [event name]" by email, with a line for each part and the booking fee for those spots.
- If your package has no golfer spots, no Redswing email is sent. Ask the organizer if you need a receipt or invoice for your books.
- Your company is added to the organizer's sponsor list as paid.
Common problems
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The payment did not go through | No one was charged. Check the card details or try another card. See My card was declined. |
| Your payment is processing | You do not need to pay again. The organizer will confirm your payment. |
| Sold out on your package | Pick another package or ask the organizer. |
| Your company needs an invoice first | Ask the organizer. You can pay them by check instead. See Pay for a sponsorship by check or cash. |
