Benchmark reports — how your event compares (Pro)
Benchmark reports are a Redswing Pro feature that shows how your event stacks up against similar charity golf events.
Overview
It is hard to know whether an event did well without something to compare it to. Benchmark reports place your results next to comparable charity golf events on the metrics that matter, so you can see your strengths and your biggest opportunities.
Metrics include dollars raised per player, sponsorship revenue, auction performance, and registration fill rate. Each one is shown as a percentile against similar events.
How to read percentiles
A percentile tells you the share of comparable events your result beats. A dollars-raised-per-player figure at the 80th percentile means your event outperformed about 80 percent of similar events on that metric. The 50th percentile is the middle of the pack, and anything below it points to room to grow.
How to view your benchmark report
- Open Dashboard and go to Events, then select your event.
- Choose Report.
- Open the benchmarks section to see your percentiles by metric.
How to use it to set next year's goals
- Find the metrics where you scored below the 50th percentile.
- Pick one or two to focus on, such as fill rate or sponsorship revenue.
- Set a target percentile for next year and plan the changes to reach it.
Things to know
- Benchmark reports require Redswing Pro.
- Comparisons are drawn from similar charity golf events, not all events.
- Percentiles are most useful when compared against your own results year over year.
