Create your account and organization

Sign up with Google or an email and password, accept the one-time compliance acknowledgment, and create your organization.

Your account is you. Your organization is the charity or club that runs the tournament. You create both once, in about three minutes.

Who can do this: anyone. Use your own email, not a shared one, so you can hand over the event later without sharing a password.

Before you start

  • Were you invited by someone already on Redswing? Do not create your own organization. Open the invite email and follow Accept a team invite instead, or you will end up in a separate, empty organization.
  • Have your organization's name ready, as you want golfers to see it.

Steps

  1. Go to redswing.io and click Sign in, then click Create account at the top of the form.
  2. Either click Continue with Google and pick your Google account, or type your Email and a Password of at least 8 characters.
  3. Click Create account. If the page says "Check your email to confirm your account", open that email in the same browser and click the link.
  4. Platform compliance opens. Read the four points, tick the box agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and click Acknowledge and continue. You see this once. See The one-time compliance acknowledgment.
  5. Create your organization opens. Type your Organization name. Contact email is filled in with your sign-in email; change it if your organization uses another address. Contact phone is optional.
  6. If your organization is a registered 501(c)(3), tick We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It decides whether tax receipts can be sent. You can change it later on Tax receipts in an event.
  7. Click Create organization. You land on Home, ready to create your first event.

Another way in: start with your event

You can also go to redswing.io/start, type your event's name and fill in the setup steps without an account. When you click Publish, you sign in or create an account, and Redswing creates your organization from the charity name you entered (or the event name). Your answers come with you.

What happens next

  • Home shows a card called Get your first event live with four steps. See A tour of your dashboard.
  • Your contact email is where replies to golfer emails go, and where Redswing sends the "your event is live" email.
