Redswing keeps your whole outing in one list: every golfer who signs up flows into pairings, check-in, scoring, the leaderboard and your report. You set it up once, and each stage uses what you already entered.
The short version
- You build an event page, share the link, and run the day from your dashboard (a computer or a phone).
- Golfers sign up from your page, then score on their own phones from a link or QR code. There is no app to download.
- Sponsors and donors give from your page, or you record the checks and cash they hand you.
The eight stages
1. Create your account and organization. One account per person; your organization is the charity or club that runs the event. See Create your account and organization.
2. Create the event. Click New event. The setup steps ask for the basics (name, course, date), the format, the price, and optional extras. You can publish as soon as the name, course and date are in. See Create your first event.
3. Publish and share. Publishing puts your event page online. Copy the link, download the QR code, or share it by email, text or Facebook. See Publish your event.
4. Decide how golfers pay. Two ways, and you can use both:
- Golfers reserve a spot and pay you directly (cash, check or your own link). You click Mark paid when the money arrives. Free.
- Golfers pay online by card, once your organization's Square account is connected on Get paid. $5 booking fee per golfer, inside their price. See How sign-ups and payments work.
5. Add sponsors and fundraising. Sponsor packages, donations, on-course stations, contests and a paper silent auction, all on Sponsors, Donors, Stations, Contests and Auction in the event sidebar. See Create a sponsor package.
6. Get ready for the day. Make your groups on Pairings, print tee sheets, cart signs and scorecards, and get each group its scoring link. See Make your pairings and Give every group its scoring link.
7. Event day. Check golfers in on Check-in, golfers score hole by hole on their phones, and the leaderboard updates live, on phones or a TV in the clubhouse. See Check golfers in and How scoring works.
8. After the event. Open Report for a board-ready summary, send tax letters from Tax receipts, thank your golfers, and use Duplicate on Home to start next year's event. See The after-event checklist.
Your two checklists
- Get your first event live on Home walks you through creating, customizing, publishing and sharing your first event.
- Launch checklist in the sidebar shows what is left before you go live, plus a day-of game plan. See Use the launch checklist.
What Redswing does not do
- It does not hold your money. Card payments go straight to your organization's Square account. See Where your money goes.
- It does not text or email anyone when you publish. You share the link.
- It does not decide your refund policy, your tax values or who plays with whom: you do, and Redswing does the paperwork.
