Bidding happens on paper at the event. Before you go, you can look at every item on your phone.
Draft for legal review: This article describes how Redswing works in plain language. It is not tax or legal advice and an attorney has not reviewed it yet. Ask your own tax advisor or attorney about your situation.
Look at the items
- Open the auction page from the event page, or the link the organizer sent. It's called Silent auction.
- Tap an item to see its photo, description, item number and, if the organizer added it, its Value.
Bid at the event
- Find the item's paper bid sheet at the event (the item number is on the sheet).
- Write your name and your bid on the next line. Each bid must be higher than the one above.
- Check back before the auction closes. The organizer announces when bidding ends.
You can't bid online or by text for now; the page says Bid on the paper sheet at the event.
If you win
- The organizer records the winners and tells you.
- You pay the organizer directly: cash, check, or the organizer's own payment link. Redswing doesn't charge a fee on auction items.
- Ask the organizer for a receipt if you need one. Organizers can include auction wins in their acknowledgment letters; the letter shows the item's value, and your tax advisor can tell you what that means for you.
Still need help? Your tournament organizer can fix this. Reply to your confirmation email (replies go to the organizer), or ask at the check-in desk on the day.
