Texts are your choice. You can sign up, check in, score and see the leaderboard without them. You only get texts if you tick the box yourself, for your own phone.

What you'd get
Event updates such as your scoring link, tee-time and logistics reminders, and hole-in-one alerts, from the organizer, sent through Redswing. The exact wording next to the box is:
By checking this box, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages (scoring updates, tee-time and event logistics reminders, and hole-in-one alerts) from the event organizer for their charity golf event, sent through Redswing (Redswing Systems LLC), their messaging platform, at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of registration or purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
On the real form, "the event organizer" is replaced by the organizer's name, and there are links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you're signing up
- On the Your details step, type a Phone for Player 1.
- Read the box that says Yes, text event updates to Player 1's phone. It starts empty.
- Tick it only if Player 1 wants texts on that phone. Leave it empty if not.
The box covers Player 1's phone only. Ticking it does not sign up the contact phone or any teammate.
If someone else signed you up
Teammates choose for their own phones. If the person who signed up your team gave your email and phone, you get an email from the organizer with a link. It opens a page just for you.
- Open the link in the email.
- Read the wording. The box Yes, sign me up for event text updates! starts empty.
- Only if you want texts: tick the box and tap Save my choice. If you don't want texts, close the page. Nothing changes.
Stop the texts
Reply STOP to any text. You can also reply with words like "stop texting me" or "unsubscribe". Your phone gets one confirmation and no more texts from the event. Reply HELP for help. See Stop the texts.
Common problems

Still need help? Your tournament organizer can fix this. Reply to your confirmation email (replies go to the organizer), or ask at the check-in desk on the day.
