One person signs up the whole team and pays for everyone. That person is the primary contact: the confirmation and receipt go to them.
You will need: a team name, each player's name, and your own email. Each player's email and phone are optional, but they help (see "What happens next").
Steps
- Open the event page and tap Register Now.
- Team is already picked, with the number of players the organizer set (for example Team (4 players)). Type a Team name, then tap Next.
- Under Primary contact, type your Full name and Email (and Phone if you like).
- Under Players, type a Name for every player, including yourself. Each player's Email and Phone are optional.
- Optional: the text-message box covers Player 1's phone only. Tick it only if Player 1 wants texts. Teammates choose for their own phones later (see below).
- Tap Next, add any extras, check the Order summary, and tap the button at the bottom to pay or reserve.
What happens next
- You get the confirmation email. Your team shows on the organizer's list right away.
- Teammates who gave an email and a phone get an email from the organizer with a link to choose texts for their own phone. Nobody is signed up for texts by someone else.
- On event day the organizer puts your team in a group and gives the group a scoring link. See Find my group and starting hole.
Don't know everyone's name yet?
Every player needs a name to finish. If someone isn't decided, type a placeholder such as "Guest of Pat" and tell the organizer the real name later. Organizers can change golfer names on their side.
Common problems
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Please enter a name for player 3. | Every player needs a name. Use a placeholder if you must. |
| You signed up the wrong number of players | Ask the organizer to change it. You can't edit a sign-up yourself. See Change my sign-up, or drop out. |
| A teammate didn't get the text-message email | It only goes to teammates with both an email and a phone on the sign-up. They can still play and score without texts. |
Still need help? Your tournament organizer can fix this. Reply to your confirmation email (replies go to the organizer), or ask at the check-in desk on the day.
