Each group has one QR code and one group link, plus a personal link for every golfer. All of them open the group's scorecard.
Who can do this: Admin or Editor Time: under a minute per group
Steps
- Open Scoring in the event sidebar. Each group has its own card.
- On the group's card, tap Scoring links. The card opens and shows:
- the Group QR. Anyone in the group can scan it with their phone camera to open the scorecard.
- Copy group link, to paste into a text or email.
- each golfer's name with Copy (their own link) and Open (opens their scorecard in a new tab).
- Tap Copy group link and paste it where you need it. A message says the link was copied.
Print the QR code
The cart signs and scorecards you print from Pairings do not include the QR. To print it:
- Open Scoring links on the group's card.
- On a computer, right-click the QR code and choose to save or copy the image. On a phone, press and hold it.
- Paste it into a document with the group number in large letters, and print it.
A QR shown on your own phone screen at the check-in table works too: golfers scan it from your phone.
Good to know
- The group QR and group link stay with the group, even if you move golfers between groups later.
- A golfer's personal link follows that golfer to whatever group they are in.
- Links are drawn on your device. Nothing is sent to another service to make the QR.
- Anyone with a group's link can enter scores for that group. Give it only to that group.
Common problems
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No Scoring links button on a card | The group has no golfers. Add golfers to it on Pairings. |
| The QR will not scan | See The QR code won't scan. |
| Copy does nothing | Some browsers block copying. Tap Open and copy the address from the new tab instead. |
