One button texts each golfer their own scoring link. Only golfers who agreed to texts when they signed up, and gave a phone number, get one.
Who can do this: Admin or Editor Time: 1 minute
Before you start
- Texting is set up for your organization. If it is not, the button is greyed out and the note beside it says so.
- Pairings are made, so each golfer's link opens their group.
- Golfers who did not agree to texts are never texted. Plan to give them the group QR or a copied link.
Steps
- Open Scoring (or the event Overview). The Text scoring links box is near the top. The note beside it says how many golfers will get a text, or when links last went out.
- Tap Text scoring links.
- Read the box that opens. It names how many golfers will be texted and how many are skipped (did not agree to texts, or no phone number).
- Tap the button to confirm (it says Text and the number of golfers).
- A message tells you how many texts went out.
What golfers receive
A text like this (your event's name is filled in):
Redswing: Riverside Classic. Tap to enter your scores: (their link) Reply STOP to opt out.
Sending again
If links already went out, the box says when and asks Send the scoring links again?. Sending again texts the same golfers a second time. Do it only if you changed groups or many people lost the first text.
