The Scoring card in Event settings has three switches. Each one saves the moment you tap it.
Where
Open Event settings in the event sidebar and scroll to the Scoring card.
The settings
| Setting | What it does | Starts |
|---|---|---|
| Allow score edits | On: golfers can fix any hole after their card is finished (a Fix a score button). Off: once a group finishes its card, its saved holes are locked. | On |
| Show running total during round | Saved with your event, but the scorecard does not use it yet. Golfers see their team's place on the board while they score, unless the board is private. | On |
| Show a note when a team finishes scoring | A note at the top of your Scoring page lists the groups that have finished. No email or text is sent. | On |
Allow score edits, in detail
- While a group is still playing, it can always go back and change a hole, whatever this setting says.
- On: after the last hole, golfers see Round complete with a Fix a score button. See Fix a wrong score.
- Off: after the last hole, golfers see "Scores are locked. Ask the tournament organizer if one needs to change." A hole they never entered can still be added.
Many events leave it on during play and turn it off just before awards, so nobody changes a score while prizes are handed out.
You need to change a locked score
Redswing does not have a separate score editor for organizers. To change a score after you turned edits off:
- Turn Allow score edits back on.
- Open the group's card on Scoring, tap Scoring links, then Open next to any golfer.
- Tap Fix a score, fix the hole and tap Next hole.
- Turn Allow score edits off again.
What Redswing does not do
- It does not close scoring for you at a set time. Scoring links keep working after the round.
- It does not send you an email when every group has finished.
