Winners pay your organization directly. Redswing does not charge their cards. Click Mark paid after they hand you the money.
Who can do this: Admin or Editor You will need: the amount you received and how it was paid
Before you start
- Record the winner first. A Mark paid button only shows on items with a winner.
- This cannot be undone here. Once an item is Paid, its winner cannot be changed. Check the amount before you click.
Steps
- Open Auction and find the item. It reads Closed.
- Click Mark paid.
- Type the Amount received in dollars. It starts with the winning bid.
- Choose How they paid: Cash, Check, or Other (your own payment link).
- Click Mark paid in the box.
What happens next
- The item shows Paid and "Paid $X by [method]".
- If the winner paid less than they bid, the row shows "$Y still owed". Revenue counts what you actually received.
- The item counts in your totals and report.
