Many sponsor packages come with playing spots: "Title Sponsor includes a foursome." Set Golfer spots included on the package, and Redswing keeps count of how many spots each sponsor has used.
Who can do this: Admin or Editor
Steps
- Open Sponsors in the event sidebar.
- Create a new package, or click Edit on an existing one.
- In Golfer spots included, type the number of spots (0 to 100). Leave it at 0 for packages with no playing spots.
- Also set Value of goods and services ($). Playing spots have real value. See Set the value of goods and services.
- Click Add package or Save changes.
What the sponsor pays
- A sponsor who buys online by card pays a $5 Redswing booking fee for each included golfer. The fee is shown inside the package total on your sponsor page, so the sponsor sees one price. You pay nothing extra.
- A sponsor you add by hand (check, cash or not paid yet) has no Redswing fee. Sponsorships are free of Redswing fees.
What happens next
- On the Sponsors page, each sponsor with spots shows a line like "4 golfer spots: 0 filled".
- Put their golfers on your roster with Add golfer for this sponsor. See Put a sponsor's golfers on your roster.
- Those golfers count toward your Max players. If your field is full, you need to make room first.
- Golfer spots do not add golfers by themselves. Someone has to give you the names.
Common problems
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No Add golfer for this sponsor button | The sponsor's package has 0 spots, or the sponsor has no package, or all spots are used ("All spots used") | Edit the package to add spots, or add the golfer on the Golfers page instead. |
| You changed the spots on a package after sponsors bought it | The count updates for everyone on that package | Check each sponsor row for the new number. |
