When a business fills in the form on your sponsor page, nothing is charged. You get a message, and the next move is yours.
Who can do this: anyone on your team who can open the event
Steps
- Open Sponsors and scroll to Sponsor messages (N). You are also emailed when a message arrives.
- Each message shows the contact name, company, date, email, phone (if they gave one) and their note.
- Click the email to write back, or the phone number to call.
- When they agree, click Add sponsor and record them. See Add a sponsor.
- If they picked a package, the note starts with "Reserving [package name]" so you know what they asked for.
The same messages appear on the Donors page under Messages from your event page, together with notes people left on the donate page.
What to know
- Messages stay on the list. There is no "done" or delete button, so keep your own tracking.
- Redswing never shows your email address to the sponsor. They get a thank-you on the page: "The organizer has your message and will reply by email."
- Sponsors can only leave a message (and not pay online) when card payments are off for your organization, or when you have no open packages.
Common problems
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No messages | Nobody has used the form, or card payments are on and they paid directly | Share your sponsor link. See Share your sponsor page. |
| An email bounces | The visitor mistyped it | Try the phone number. |
| Spam | Anyone can use a public form | Ignore it. |
