Undo a hand-recorded donation or sale

Typed 500 instead of 50? Use Remove. It is for mistakes only.

Who can do this: Admin or Editor

Steps

1. Open Donors (for donations) or Stations (for sales, on that station).
2. Find the entry in the list. Each shows the name or note, Cash or Check, the date and the amount.
3. Click Remove on that entry.
4. The box "Remove this entry?" says: "This takes $X out of your totals. Use it only for a mistake. We keep a record that it was entered and removed."
5. Click Remove entry to confirm.

What happens next

• The entry leaves the list, your totals, the meter and the report.
• Redswing keeps a record that it was entered and removed.
• There is no undo for the removal. Record the correct entry again.

Not for

• A donor who wants their money back: return it yourself first, then remove the entry. Redswing does not move this money.
• Card donations: those are not hand-recorded and have no Remove button here.
