The time zone decides when your sign-up deadline ends. Check-in and start times go in the day-before email.
Set the time zone
- Open Event settings, then Event details.
- Find Time zone. If it says "Worked out from the course address: Eastern" (or your zone), you are done. Change it only if that is wrong.
- If it says "We could not tell the time zone from the course address", choose yours: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Arizona (no daylight time), Pacific, Alaska or Hawaii.
- Tap Save event details.
Registration then closes at the end of your close date in that zone. If Redswing cannot tell the zone, it uses Pacific, the latest US zone, so sign-up never closes early.
Set check-in and start times
- On Event settings, find the Event times card.
- Fill Check-in opens. Leave it blank to leave it out of the email.
- Check Shotgun start. It is required.
- Tap Save times.
- A message says "Times saved."
What happens next
These times appear in the day-before email sent to you and your team. Start time is also what your pairings use for wave and tee-time starts.
Common problems
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Choose the event's time zone so registration closes at the end of the right day." | The zone is unknown and you set a close date | Pick a time zone. |
| "Shotgun start time is required." | The start time box is empty | Fill it. |
