Set up your event

Change the date or time, and tell your golfers

Move your event to a new date or start time, fix the deadline and pairings that depend on it, and let everyone know.

Changing the date is quick. Telling people is on you, because Redswing does not send a message when you save.

Who can do this: Admin or Editor. Time: about 5 minutes.

Steps

  1. Open Event settings, then Event details.
  2. Pick the new Event date and, if needed, a new Start time.
  3. If your Registration closes date is now after the event, move it earlier. Redswing will not save a close date after the event date.
  4. Tap Save event details.
  5. Open your event page in a private window and check the new date shows.
  6. Tell your golfers (below).

Tell your golfers

  1. Open Messages.
  2. Use Emails to write to everyone. Use Texts only for golfers who agreed to texts. Redswing sends texts only to golfers who opted in.
  3. Say the new date, the start time, check-in time and where to park.

If you already made pairings

  • Shotgun: starting holes stay as they are.
  • Wave or tee times: the times were worked out from the old start time. If no scores have been entered, make the pairings again (this replaces your hand edits), then reprint.
  • Reprint tee sheets, cart signs and scorecards. See Print the tee sheet, cart signs and scorecards.
