Troubleshooting

My changes don't show on the event page

Find out why an edit is not visible to golfers: not saved, a saved copy, or a social preview.

Quick fix (try this first): tap the save button on the card you edited, then open the page in a private window.

Check these, in order

  1. Did you save? Event page: look for a yellow "Unsaved changes" note, then tap Save page. Event details: tap Save event details. Other cards: Save, Save times, Save payment instructions. Switches and boxes in Display, Registration and the other lists save themselves ("Settings saved"). If you see "Could not save setting", try again.
  2. Did the save work? Look for "Event page saved" or "Event details saved." If you see a red message, read it. A date in the past or a close date after the event date will not save.
  3. Do you have view-only access? Viewers can look but not save. Ask an Admin or Editor.
  4. Is it a saved copy? Reload the page, or open your event link in a private window.
  5. Is it only the social preview? The picture and title that Facebook or a text app shows are kept by those apps for a while. Your page is fine.
  6. Did the upload finish? A photo only changes the page after you tap Save page.
