Troubleshooting

A golfer replied STOP

A golfer opted out of texts, by mistake or on purpose. What it changes and what you can do.

Draft for legal review: This article describes how Redswing works in plain language. It is not tax or legal advice and an attorney has not reviewed it yet. Ask your tax advisor or attorney about your own situation.

Quick fix (try this first): nothing is broken. The golfer's scoring link still works. Give them the group QR or their link in person.

What changed

  • Redswing will not text that phone number again, for your event or any other.
  • Scoring, check-in and their sign-up are not affected.

If they replied STOP by mistake and want texts again

Only the golfer can turn texts back on. Ask them to reply START to the same Redswing number. That works because they had agreed to texts before. You cannot turn it back on for them, and Redswing support will not either.

If they meant it

Do not text them, from Redswing or your own phone. Share anything they need in person or by email.

Still stuck?

Open Ask AI if a golfer says they never agreed to texts, or asked to stop in another way (an email, in person). A person at Redswing reviews it.
