Troubleshooting

The same person signed up twice

Spot a duplicate sign-up on Golfers and take the extra one off, whether it was paid by card, paid to you, or not paid.

Quick fix (try this first): keep the sign-up that is paid (or the newer one, if neither is), and take the other one off.

Spot it

  • Two rows on Golfers with the same contact or email.
  • A note on the row: "Same team name as 1 other sign-up. They are paired together."
  • Export CSV and sort by Contact email.

Add golfer refuses an email already on the list, and the import skips golfers already there, so most duplicates come from people signing up online twice.

Take the extra one off

The extra sign-upDo this
Waiting to be paid or CompRemove on its row. See Remove a golfer or a team.
Paid you cash or by checkGive that money back, then Remove. See Give back cash or a check.
Paid by cardRefund it in full on Get paid → Refund a payment (Admin). That takes it off. See Refund a golfer or team that paid by card.
Has scoresIt can't be removed. Leave it. See I can't remove a golfer.

Two halves of one team?

Redswing can't merge sign-ups. If a captain signed up two golfers and then two more, use the same team name on both (with Edit names); they are kept together in pairings.

Not set up yet?

Sign-ups, pairings, scoring, leaderboard and check-in are free. Golfers who pay online by card add a $5 booking fee inside their price (or you can cover it). 0% on sponsorships, auction, add-ons and donations.
