Quick fix (try this first): ask the golfer to search their inbox, spam and promotions folders for your event's name. The email comes from your organization's name.
Check these, in order
- Should they have got one yet? The confirmation goes to the sign-up's contact email:
| How they got on the list | When the confirmation goes |
|---|---|
| Paid online by card | Right after they pay, plus Redswing's receipt |
| Free sign-up or a 100% comp code | Right after they sign up |
| Reserved to pay you directly | Right after they reserve (with how to pay), and again when you mark them paid |
| You added them as Paid cash, Paid by check or Comp | Right away, if you typed an email |
| You added them as Not paid yet, or added them from the waitlist | Only when you mark them paid |
| Imported as paid or comp | Right away |
| Imported as unpaid | Only when you mark them paid |
| Added by hand to a free event | Not sent |
If none should have gone yet, there is nothing missing.
- Is the email right? On Golfers, the contact email is under the team name. A typo means it went nowhere. Open Ask AI and ask it to correct the registration's email; it shows the change and asks you to confirm.
- Is it the team contact? Only the person who signed up the team gets the confirmation, not every golfer.
- Did they finish? Someone who left a card checkout is not on your list and got no email. Golfers shows how many did that.
- Is the confirmation turned on? Open Messages → Emails, choose Registration confirmation, and check that Auto-send is ticked.
- Still missing? Open Ask AI and ask it to resend the registration confirmation. It shows you what it will send and asks you to confirm.
Still not working: the backup
A golfer doesn't need the email to play. Send them your event page link yourself, and give them their group's scoring link or QR code at check-in.
Why this happens
Most missing confirmations are a typo in the email, a spam filter, or a sign-up that was never paid or recorded yet.
Still stuck?
Open Ask AI, the red button in your dashboard. It can look up the sign-up, check the email log, and hand the issue to a person.
