Quick answer: the report counts what Redswing recorded, before card processing. Your bank shows what arrived, after processing and on the processor's schedule. The gap is almost always in one of the checks below.
Check these, in order
- Unrecorded cash and checks. Golfers: Golfers shows waiting to be paid; use Mark paid. Donations: Record a donation on Donors. Sponsors: Mark paid on Sponsors. Then regenerate the report.
- Auction items. Closed items count at the winning amount even if unpaid. Items you sold on paper but never closed or recorded don't count. Check Auction.
- Card processing. The report is before card processing. Square charges its fee in your own account, so deposits are smaller.
- Timing. Card money reaches your bank on Square's schedule. Check Payouts.
- Refunds. Refunded sign-ups drop out of the report; your bank shows the refund separately.
- Still owed. Still owed to the organization is promised money, not received money.
- Covered booking fees. If you chose to cover the booking fee, it comes out of To the organization before card processing.
