Card payments are live, through Square. Each organization connects its own Square account after a quick account check, and money goes straight there. Golfers pay by card when they sign up, the money goes straight to your organization's Square account, everyone is marked paid automatically, and receipts and tax notices go out for you. Stop chasing checks.
The short version
- Golfers pay on your event page with Square's card form. Redswing never sees the card number.
- You get the money in your organization's Square account, and Square pays it out to your bank.
- Redswing takes a booking fee per golfer who pays by card, inside the price. Redswing takes 0% of sponsorships, auction, add-ons and donations.
How it works
- A golfer opens your event page, signs up and sees the total, with an itemized summary before they pay.
- They pay with Square's card form.
- Their sign-up is marked Paid on Golfers right away.
- They get your Registration confirmation email, plus Redswing's own receipt for the booking fee.
- Square pays the money out to your bank on its schedule.
The money
- Golfers who pay online by card add a $5 booking fee inside the price they see (or you can cover it). Golfers who pay you directly or that you add by hand stay free. Redswing takes 0% of sponsorships, auction, add-ons and donations. Card processing is charged by your payment processor at its own rate, in your organization's own account.
- The card statement shows your organization's name.
- Golfers, sponsors and donors can tick an optional, unticked box to add the card processing cost. It goes to your organization. See The "cover the card fees" box.

What Redswing does NOT do
- Hold your money, or pay you out. Square does.
- Take card numbers by phone or let you type in a card for someone.
- Give golfers a "pay later" choice once your event takes cards. Add those golfers yourself with Add golfer.
- Take cards for the auction. Auctions stay on paper; you record winners and how they paid.
