A part refund sends back less than the whole payment. The golfer or team stays on your list, with every golfer, and you can refund more later.
Who can do this: Admin for card payments; Admin or Editor for cash or checks you recorded.
Steps
- Open Get paid and tap Refund a payment at the bottom.
- Find the payment by the buyer's email and date.
- In Refund amount ($), type the amount to send back instead of the full amount.
- Type a Reason, for example "One golfer cancelled".
- Tap Review refund, check Back to the buyer and Redswing fee returned to you, then tap Send refund.
Refunding one golfer of a team
A team that paid together made one payment. To refund one golfer of a foursome, refund a quarter of the total shown on the payment (the booking fee comes back in the same proportion). The golfer stays on the team in Redswing: put a replacement in with Edit names (Replace a golfer with someone else), or leave them on and don't check them in. Redswing can't take one golfer off a team sign-up.
What happens next
- The payment now shows "$... already refunded". You can refund more later, up to what is left.
- Booking fee: it comes back in proportion. The golfer's Redswing receipt said: "If you are refunded, your booking fee is refunded too (in proportion, for a partial refund)."
- Their spot: unchanged. A part refund never takes anyone off the field. Only a full refund does.
- Redswing does not email the golfer. Tell them yourself.
