After Redswing approves your organization, you link your organization's Square account. Payments then go straight from the golfer's card to your Square account.
Who can do this: an organization Admin. Time: about five minutes, longer if you are creating a Square account. You will need: your organization's Square login, or the details to create a Square account (Square asks for its own identity and bank details).
Before you start
- Get paid must say Approved. If not, start with Ask for card payments.
- Use your organization's Square account, not a personal one.
Steps
- Open Get paid. Under Card payments you see Approved and a Connect your payment account button, with "You will finish setup with Square. Money goes straight to your organization's Square account."
- Tap Connect your payment account. Square's own page opens.
- Sign in to Square (or create an account) and allow Redswing to take payments for your organization. These screens belong to Square, so they can look different from this description.
- Square sends you back to your Redswing dashboard.
- Open Get paid again. It says Your payment account is connected.
What happens next
- Golfers can pay by card on events that are linked to a course from the course list. If an event isn't, Get paid shows "{event} can't take card payments yet" with Pick your course. See Card payments are off for my event.
- From then on, golfers who sign up online pay by card. Golfers who pay online by card add a $5 booking fee inside their price (or you can cover it).
- Square pays the money out to your bank. See When do I get paid? Payout timing.
Common problems

Things to know
- Redswing never sees card numbers. Card details go straight to the payment provider. Redswing never sees or stores your card number.
- Change bank details only inside Square. Redswing never asks you to change them by email, text or phone. See Keeping your account secure.
