The same import that brings in golfers can bring in sponsors, so you don't type each company in by hand. You see a preview first; nothing is saved until you confirm.
Who can do this: Admin or Editor. Time: about five minutes.
Steps
- Open your event, choose Golfers, and tap Import a list (CSV or Excel).
- Choose Sponsors at the top.
- Choose your file (Choose a CSV or Excel file), or paste rows into Or paste a list with a first line of column names (Company, Tier, Amount), then tap the button under the box. Download a blank template (CSV) gives you the columns: Company, Tier, Amount, Hole, Contact name, Contact email, Contact phone, Paid.
- Check the preview: how many are ready, and the Match your columns list. Change any column that was matched wrong, or choose Don't import.
- Tap Import N sponsors. Then See sponsors opens your Sponsors page.
What gets read
- Company is required. Tier, package, amount, hole number, website, contact name, email and phone are read when present.
- Paid: a paid column with words like paid, yes or received, and an amount, imports the sponsor as paid. Marked paid with no amount? It imports as unpaid with a note.
- Already a sponsor? A company already on this event is skipped ("... is already a sponsor of this event, so was skipped.").
Things to know
- Imported sponsors are records of who sponsored and what they paid you. Nothing is charged.
- Logos are not imported. Add each logo on Sponsors. See Sponsor logos.
