Sign-ups and payments

Run your event with cash, checks or your own link

Take sign-ups and collect money without card payments: golfers reserve online and pay you, or you add them yourself.

You don't need card payments to run your event on Redswing. Golfers can reserve a spot online and pay you however you like, and you mark them paid. Golfers who pay you directly (cash, check or your own link), comps, imports and golfers you add by hand are free. Redswing never sends you a bill for them. Golfers who pay online by card add a $5 booking fee inside their price (or you can cover it).

Who can do this: an Admin for the switch; Admin or Editor for the rest.

Set it up (five minutes)

  1. Turn on paying you directly. Open Get paid and, under Let golfers reserve a spot and pay you directly (cash, check or your own link), tap Turn on. It now reads On: golfers can reserve a spot and pay you directly.

  1. Tell golfers how to pay. Open Event settings → How golfers pay you, write your instructions, and tap Save payment instructions. See Write the instructions golfers see for paying you.
  2. Share your event page. Golfers see your price and Reserve my spot.

Collect the money

  • Golfers who reserved show Waiting to be paid on Golfers and under Payments you are waiting on on Get paid.
  • When you get paid, tap Mark paid on their row. See Mark a golfer or team paid.
  • Anyone who signs up with you directly: Add golfer and choose how they paid. A whole list: Import a list (CSV or Excel).

What it costs

Free to run your tournament. Sign-ups, pairings, scoring, leaderboard and check-in are free. Golfers who pay online by card add a $5 booking fee inside their price (or you can cover it). 0% on sponsorships, auction, add-ons and donations.

Things to know

  • The switch covers all your organization's events.
  • A reservation holds a spot as soon as the golfer makes it, before they pay. If someone never pays, use Remove to open the spot.
  • Redswing doesn't send payment reminders. Email golfers who owe you yourself.
  • Want cards later? Connecting Square switches online sign-ups to card checkout for events linked to a course. Golfers who already reserved stay as they are.
